So, What’s New? What’s Now? As cycles go, today, the stat holiday, has little to do with the weather, sleep patterns, relationships, rate of growth or activity. You might have a nice fresh calendar or new socks from Santa to mark the occasion – hopefully not a hangover. So far this decade, it has felt good to say goodbye to the previous year. 2024 was a little less demoralizing, hopeless or harrowing. Most of us are getting used to the idea that we are not in Kansas anymore. Are we experiencing a movie? Is this a hologram? The Truman Show? Spoiler alert – the answer is not in the ruby slippers. There is no place like home, Auntie M.
Really though, January 1st makes me think of budget and taxes. The real newness was 10 days ago, when we welcomed the growing light. Today, January 1st, the Sun is at 10 degrees of Capricorn, which is really not a milestone unless it’s your birthday. I don’t want to be the New year Grinch. I am almost always up for a party, even on a Wednesday. I feel the need to honor my inner time keeper and the telluric field. I prefer not to dwell on the nefarious, or at least unnatural reasons we must follow the Gregorian calendar.
The natural earth cycle begins on March 20. There is still plenty of time to prepare for this very profound time on planet earth. The spring equinox 2025 is extra special because there will be so much emphasis on new beginnings. This day always marks the passage of the Sun from the last degrees of Pisces, into the sign of Aries. Aries is all about newness, beginnings, initiations, personal identity, self, taking the lead, pioneering and pressing the start button. In the days and weeks approaching that time, it is good planning to take stock, look inward, make assessments, look in the mirror – reflect.
Regardless of the manipulations and control antics we are seeing in the outer world, the light is still coming. Celestial events, transitions and culminations happening now and in the coming months are the awakening, transcending, enlightening aspects of reality and consciousness that have attracted souls to incarnate at this time. We have been given every reason to lose hope and trust and confidence. You can ask for a sign or a dream that will confirm to you, we are in the quickening. This is not to say that we are landing in a bed of roses. This is the rapids and the waterfall before we connect and gather in unity of consciousness. To have come this far, you are not the faint of heart. You know what it means to Let Go. It’s the evolved way of allowing, accepting, supporting and loving. We are leaving behind the paradigm of duality and separation, stepping out of the dark age of the Kali Yuga and into the light of the Photon Belt, which will light up our DNA like Christmas, fire up the synapses and networks of telepathy, switch on the lightbulbs of invention and ingenuity and reconnect intuitive pathways to the knowing of our true divinity. With Pluto in Aquarius we will have the ability, or at least the opportunity to transform community, networking and cooperation , empowering the spirit of co-creation. Pluto is not flighty. This is a deep, true, solid energy just beginning the journey through Aquarius, sign of humanity, frequency and innovation.
So, in the spirit of new dawns and new days, I do see that light up ahead. It is not today, although today is a great day, like any NOW moment, to make a commitment to be authentic, to be present and ready for the greatest good. It is said that once you commit, the universe responds with a stream of events, chance meetings and assistance that would not have occurred without the magic and power of your boldness.
The point, 0 degrees Aries is also called the Aries Point. It refers to society, the public, humanity – all of us. The Sun arrives there on March 20. In 2025, March is a month packed with transits. Venus will turn retrograde on March 2nd, in Aries. Many scenarios come to mind. Instead of buy new, try Renew. On March 13 there is a lunar eclipse at 23 Virgo. On March 15 Mercury goes retrograde in Aries. March 20 is solstice – sun in Aries. March 22 venus conjoins the sun at 2 Aries. This will be the new Venus Star Point for the next 9 months. March 29 we have a supermoon eclipse at 9 Aries.
March 30 venus emerges as the Morning Star, accompanied by Neptune, Saturn, the North node, venus and mercury. A very, very busy month. I only single out March because of the new year. I hope to write again soon about all the other new energies and changes in store for us in the coming year.
