On this eve of the Solar Eclipse of February 17, 2026 at 4.01 am PST, I am contemplating the Sabian Symbol for the degree 28 Aquarius, 30 minutes. The Sabian Symbols are mini parables or concepts, written for each of the 360 degrees of the zodiac. This symbol is titled: A butterfly emerging from a Chrysalis. At this late degree of aquarius we have reached a point where a radical change is needed. Each individual has the potential to participate in a higher realm of evolution after emerging from a critical state of transition. The keyword is METAMORPHOSIS.
The fact that it is a new moon is impetus enough to shed the old, clear the decks and begin again, fresh and new. It being an eclipse intensifies the potential for a major shift, depending on one’s focus and intention. As it happens, this particular new moon also marks the Chinese New Year, Ramadan and Lent. This would suggest that a significant portion of humanity will begin focusing in the higher realms of consciousness in communion with God and Source and The Great Spirit.
It is called a Solar Eclipse because the Sun is eclipsed by the Moon. This one is not total since the moon is currently too far from earth for full coverage. Neither is it a partial, but rather an Annular Eclipse, which presents a Ring of Fire at the complete alignment. Not visible in our part of the world, yet still a poignant moment for the collective.
The Sun represents the will, vitality, self-expression while the Moon is about feelings, intuition, mood, sensitivity. So the usual, habitual effect of the sun is eclipsed by feelings and intuition. For a brief time the urge to get on with things is suspended, while intuition takes precedence. Solar eclipses are sometimes described as a time of Divine intervention, Providence or Fate. This is true of all Solar eclipses and even more powerful when it is total.
The Ring of Fire is interesting in view of the fact that we are transitioning from the Chinese astrological year of the snake to the year of the Fire Horse. The idea of the snake shedding its skin really brings home the message in the Sabian Symbol. It is interesting synchronicity that we would experience this dramatic shift from snake to horse at the exact degree of Metamorphosis.
Eclipses come in pairs. The Lunar Eclipse will be total on March 3, 2026 at 3:37 am PST. The degree of the sun will be 12pisces53, while the moon will be at 12virgo53. The full moon is a time of culmination. Quite often, things will resolve or come clear at this time. The two luminaries stand sentinel, shedding light on matter and energies that have been building up. In this case the Sun prevails, allowing the will and the spirit an opportunity for clear heart coherence with Spirit.
Sabian symbol for 12pisces53: An ancient sword, used in many battles, is displayed in a museum. Through the effectual use of his will a consecrated man can become a symbol of courage for all those who follow in his footsteps. Keyword: WILL POWER.
Sabian symbol for 12virgo53: A powerful statesman overcomes a state of political hysteria. The focusing of the collective need for order and structural interdependence into a personage who incarnates the answer to this need. Keyword: CHARISMA
This sounds like the emergence of a leader. The symbols were written in 1925. Please insert he/she or man/woman. The signs Pisces/Virgo are service oriented, not involved with ego and both feminine.
The Solar and Lunar eclipses will be sandwiching the event on February 20, when Neptune and Saturn come together at 0 degrees Aries. This has not happened for 6000 years. I have written about this in a previous post, but something I have observed during the days and weeks approaching this significant threshold in time is this: I am seeing and hearing healed, aware, capable men doing and saying meaningful things. Maybe this is still a contentious subject. However, it is my feeling that women are more naturally grounded in the body and in harmony with Mother Earth. The Sacred Masculine is a warrior – creative, spiritual, fatherly, generous and wise. I am hoping that at least part of the paradigm shift coming up will include more and more healthy masculinity that overcomes stereotypes and confusion brought on by media. There is room for everyone. There is no need for either/or – that is a construct. I only refer to the marriage of the Sacred Feminine – Mother Earth and the Sacred Masculine – Father Sky. Imagine uniting other polarities, like old and young, gay and straight, indigenous and settlers.
Chiron has been in Aries since 2018. Aries is a masculine sign and during this time I feel that the male species has been through a healing crisis. This year Chiron will leave Aries and enter Taurus. Until that time, there will be much activity in the sign of Aries, the pioneer, warrior, initiator and motivator.

Inside the sandwich of eclipses there are stargates and wormholes, rabbit holes and flight plans to great imaginings and creativity. Time is accelerating. It is a time of optimism and what is needed most is truth, authenticity and patience.
