Fall Equinox marks the entry of the Sun into Libra, (an air sign) sign of cooperation, balance, harmony, fair play, equality and relationship. It is fitting that the hours of night and day equalize at this time. We leave behind the energy of Virgo/earth, the garden and make our way toward the next sign of Scorpio/water, storms and rain and darker days.
In our hearts, at this time, it is very healing to pause and consider the story of our lives. Gratitude is a magical bubble, an oasis in these restless and uncertain times. The capital letter G is similar to a spiral upon which we can set in motion the many joys, great moments, good laughs, accomplishments and gifts that enrich us. The frequency of Gratitude drowns out the little voices bringing doubt, fear, anxiety and such.
Libra is a good time to take stock. How is your health? How many fishes and loaves of bread? Is the firewood in? Hatches battened down? Who needs a visit, an apology, a hug? Is the slate clean with your person? All of these are approachable, changeable, do-able from the standpoint of Gratitude.
OK, enough Pollyanna. We are certainly facing a rocky road until late November. Pluto, the great transformer and roto-tiller of life has ducked back into Capricorn for a final churn –up of The Establishment. Since 2008, Pluto has been upchucking the secrets and diabolical doings of the powers that be. The dark side of Capricorn – ambition, big business, hard core competition, top of the food chain – has become more and more apparent and oppressive, showing us nefarious intentions that used to be under the surface. We are in transition. As of November 20, Pluto will leave Capricorn and remain in Aquarius until 2044. Pluto behaves a little differently in an air sign. Not digging but revealing – empowering many new technologies, inventions, healing devices and modalities, transportation, communication and anything to do with electricity. Aquarius is about “the team”, the network, humanity and can be rebellious, even revolutionary. It’s all about change, and that is what we can count on in the coming years.
The 4 outer-lying planets in our solar system create the backdrop of our established global society, systems and beliefs. Saturn has a 30 year cycle, Uranus – 84 years, Neptune 165 years, Pluto 248 years. By July 2025, all of these planets will have changed signs. It is really quite a phenomenon that all 4 are changing signs within a short period of time. As we go through this transition, we might feel unsteady or confused. The last time that Saturn entered Aries was April 1996. Saturn is established status quo. Was there change in your life?
Happy Birthday Librans. Thank you for being fair, giving selflessly, keeping us in tune and beautifying our world. On October 2nd, there will be a New Moon Solar eclipse at 10 degrees Libra. For Librans born between now and Oct. 2, this is an opportunity for the rebirth of your purpose and vitality with a bonus Wild Card. New Moons, birthdays and especially eclipses are times of manifestation – the planting of seeds. Check in with yourself and picture what it is that you would like to see in a year from now. Just a little effort is needed, dreaming up the ultimate goal. The energies will be at work in any case, so make sure that you get your order in.
All of us can use this new moon eclipse to make a conscious effort for Peace, Harmony and Fair Play in our lives. We all know that random acts of kindness have a ripple effect.
